Guidance Prayer

Almighty and Everlasting Father, unto Thee do I lift mine heart, seeking Thy divine guidance through the uncertainties that lie before me. As Thy servant who stands in need of Thy wisdom, I beseech Thee to illumine my path with Thy holy light, that I might walk in uprightness according to Thy will. Thou hast promised in Thy Holy Word that if any lack wisdom, they should ask of Thee, who givest liberally and upbraideth not, and it shall be given them. I claim this sacred promise, O Lord, trusting that Thou wilt direct my steps and make straight the way before me. Order my footsteps according to Thy word, and let not any iniquity have dominion over me, for I desire above all things to serve Thee faithfully. Grant me discernment to distinguish Thy voice from all others, and the courage to follow wheresoever Thou leadest. In the precious name of Thy Son, Jesus Christ, I humbly pray. Amen.
