Bible
But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently.
— Romans 8:25 (NIV)
Hope is not pretending everything is easy. It is trusting God when the answer is not here yet. Paul reminds us that real hope reaches forward to what we cannot see and gives us strength to keep going without giving in to frustration. Patience is not passive; it is faithful waiting with our eyes still on the Lord.
In marriage and close relationships, waiting can be one of the hardest things. We may be waiting for healing, clarity, provision, a softened heart, or a breakthrough in a long-standing struggle. This verse invites us to wait together, not with resentment, but with trust. God is not absent in the delay. He is at work in the waiting, shaping both our hearts and our story.

Closing Prayer
Lord, teach us to wait with hope. Help us trust You when we cannot see the answer yet, and give us patience and peace as we walk together in faith. Amen.
Discuss Together
What is one hope we are still waiting on, and how can we encourage each other to trust God together in the waiting?
