Evening Prayer
“
Father, thank You for carrying me through this day, even in the moments I didn’t notice Your hand. As I come to You tonight, I lay down my worries, my unfinished tasks, and every burden I’ve been holding too tightly, trusting Your promise that “I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for thou, Lord, only makest me dwell in safety” (Psalm 4:8, KJV). Please forgive me for the ways I fell short today, and help me rest in the truth that “thy mercies... are new every morning” and that “great is thy faithfulness” (Lamentations 3:22-23, KJV). Quiet my mind, guard my home, and let Your peace settle over me like a gentle covering. If I wake in the night, remind me that You are near, and that I can trust You with all that I cannot fix before morning. I place myself in Your care now, and I thank You for loving me all the way through the night. In Jesus’ name, amen.
Amen
